The Suryadatta Group of Institutes strongly believes in “enlightening and disseminating knowledge for Prosperity” . It has widened its expanse to various disciplines; Hospitality Management is one of them. Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism (SCHMTT) was established in 2004. It is affiliated to the University of Pune, approved by D.T.E and  recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

The aim of SCHMTT is to train and groom the students to become successful hospitality professionals

Hospitality (Hotel) Management has wide employment opportunities in International 5 star hotels, Cruise lines, Air lines, travel trade, International restaurant Chains, Retail and Banking  Sector, Entertainment hubs, Facility Management Services, Industrial Catering and entertainment hubs.. Moreover, with globalization gaining acceptance in more and more countries, the hotel management industry is truly becoming global.

SCHMTT  is the recipient of  ‘TOP HOTEL MANAGEMENT INSTITUTES OF INDIA’ award for  2013 by The Competition Success Review (CSR) Group.

Students who have successfully passed their 12^th Class from any Board and any Stream ( Science, Commerce, arts, Home Science) are pursuing the Hotel Management Course.

Besides regular academic sessions, students get the industry experience through internships at star hotels in India and abroad. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, says, “Last year, seven of our students got their internship in Germany and this year, few of them are in Singapore as well. Going abroad not only exposes students to different countries, cultures and international hospitality trends but also makes them confident and well equipped  to handle global careers”

Prof Vandana Malhotra, Principal, SCHMTT having over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and in education says, “We have a 100 per cent placement record since our inception. Many hotels and organizations visit us for campus interviews. Our students hold good positions in India and abroad as well.”
